And he was nominated twice to the Billabong XXL Big Wave Awards, receiving one of the most prestigious titles in the "Big Waves" category of surfing. He became the first Italian surfer to be accepted into this famed contest.

Francisco's passion for big waves has led him to travel around the world, searching for the perfect opportunity and the right wave to test years of training and his talent: from Sardinia to New York, to the coasts of Maui and those of Cabarete.
