The Stationers' Charities

The Stationers' Charities

The Stationers’ Foundation is the education charity of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, the City of London Livery Company for the communication and content industries.

At primary school level, with a focus on literacy, we fund four Saturday Schools in greater London run by Civitas. At secondary school level, we support Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy in SE London, which specialises in digital media. We also sponsor the annual SHINE Schools Media Awards, where students from across the country win awards for their school magazines and websites. At further and higher education level, we support a number of apprenticeship initiatives in the media industry and provide postgraduate bursaries for students requiring financial assistance on programmes leading to careers in our industries. We also support wounded and sick ex-service men and women through ‘Bound by Veterans’.

Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people, whilst connecting them to the communications and content industries and to the work of our Livery Company.

The Stationers’ Hall Charity enables the preservation, maintenance and enhancement of Stationers’ Hall, an historic scheduled ancient monument and Grade 1 listed building. It also enables the advancement of education and learning, including but not limited to education in relation to the Hall, library, and archive of the Stationers' Company, primarily by the provision of public access.
