Solidarmondo Onlus

The Solidarmondo ONLUS association is made up of 24 groups, operating in various regions of Italy. It is a non-partisan, non-denominational association, free from any economic or political influences, which acts as a foundation based on the solidarity and centrality of human beings.

Solidarmondo ONLUS manages support projects for 76 missions in: Europe (Italy, Romania) and the Moldavian Republic, Latin America (Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia), Africa (Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, South Africa) and Asia (India , Myanmar, Thailand).

The main sectors of activity are health and socio-educational issues, implementing development projects, distance support and training activities aimed at protecting the most vulnerable categories, with particular attention to children and women.

The values ​​that underlie the various groups are: solidarity, centrality of the human being, justice, peace, development and seriousness. The current project being promoted through Charity Stars serves to build a well in a depressed area of ​​Togo in order to transform it into an agricultural area where young people, who live in fragile and disadvantaged family situations, are helped to play a positive role in society, giving them the chance to learn and perform income-generating activities.

This intervention is of fundamental importance, particularly in light of the link that has been proved between poverty and social hardship and diseases, especially AIDS.
