LILT Padova Onlus

The Italian League against cancer, LILT, is an institution that has been operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Health since 1922 and it is regarded as a “remarkable body”.
The 106 Provincial Associations represent the supporting structures by which the League pursues its own objectives.

LILT of Padua is a non-profit organization that has been dealing with health education and early diagnosis in the field of oncology on the Paduan territory for more than 45 years; that has been possible thanks to the daily commitment of medical specialists and numerous volunteers.

Its primary institutional task is cancer prevention:

• PRIMARY: spreading of healthy lifestyles and habits.
• SECONDARY: the promotion of an early diagnosis culture.
• TERTIARY: focus on patients, their families, their rehabilitation and social reintegration.

PREVENTION IS THE ESSENTIAL WEAPON TO DEFEAT CANCER!

Specifically, this fundrising will support the LUISA PROJECT.

The aim of the project is rising women's awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and drowing up a free screening programme for young women with certain risk factors.
