GreaterSport

GreaterSport is a high-performing charity in Greater Manchester. Our vision is to change lives through physical activity and sport and help to make Greater Manchester the most active region in England. GreaterSport believes that physical activity and sport have a major contribution to make to the health, wealth and wellbeing of Greater Manchester residents.

This year GreaterSport, along with their partners, celebrated reaching over 1 million people regularly active across Greater Manchester. This was a target set out in 2010, and as a result of the collaboration and great work being done across Greater Manchester this has been achieved. After one year of increased activity the savings to GM would be approximately £647,590 and if this regular activity is maintained, GM could save up to £4,738,982 over 15 years!
