Everton in the Community

Everton in the Community aim to use the power of sport to motivate, educate and inspire people in the local communities to improve their life chances. Through this pioneering approach, the charity has earned a reputation for delivering best practice in the sporting charity sector. Since 2010, they have provided ongoing development opportunities for thousands of participants. This has resulted in the charity winning over 80 accolades, both nationally and internationally.

Everton in the Community began in 1988 and has been at the forefront of social intervention across Merseyside ever since. The charity is not afraid to tackle issues which others shied away from.

Thanks to the help of its staff, the charity offers 60 programmes covering a range of social issues including health, employability, anti-social behaviour, crime, education, dementia, poverty, youth engagement, youth justice and disability.

Everton in the Community supports the most vulnerable and underprivileged members of local communities, and the charity aims to instil confidence in others by creating life-changing opportunities. Thousands of people have already benefited from the magnificent work they do.

Aside from offering young adults a roof over their head in difficult times, the Club’s official charity will play a large part in their development by providing them with access to key services, including health and wellbeing support and assistance with education employment and training, as well as encouraging them to contribute to the local community through the NCS programme and volunteering.
