Children with Cancer UK

Children with Cancer UK is a leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against the injustice of cancer in children. For more than 30 years, Children with Cancer UK has been actively raising and investing funds for vital specialist research to save the life of every child with cancer and keep their family together.

To date, Children with Cancer UK has raised over £230 million to fund research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancers, and to provide better facilities for children with cancer and their families. They currently have more than 60 research projects underway at leading centres around the UK.

Children with Cancer UK’s mission is to improve survival rates and the quality of survival in young cancer patients, by funding kinder, less toxic treatments. Thanks to research into new treatments funded by charities like Children with Cancer UK, survival rates have increased from 64% in 1990 to a predicted 84% in 2017. This means that more children with cancer than ever before are ringing the end of treatment bell, which marks the joyful moment when treatment is complete and young people can return home with their families.
