Associazione AMKA Onlus

AMKA Onlus is a charity founded in 2011 that wants to help people with various difficulties who live in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Guatemala by providing education, medical help and by supporting the development of the local economy. To promote the involvement of the local population, they also created AMKA Katanga, fully composed of people from the Congo.

The charity aims to promote the active participation of the local community and create and manage health, educational and economic projects. By caring about all these factors, AMKA can create sustainable long-term developments. It creates, thanks to the local members of the community, wells, vegetable gardens, schools and health centers; it helps the local authority and other charities to create new educational and health policies to fight starvation, malaria and HIV; in Italy, it raises awareness about these realities and it makes people understand the tragic level of economical imbalance.
