Airfa Onlus

AIRFA (Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sull'Anemia di Fanconi) is an Italian charity founded 27 years ago in Naples with the goal to fund scientific research about Fancomi Anemia, a rare genetic disease that affects children. Most of the affected children usually have delayed and incorrect bone developments, and they have a higher risk of developing cancer, especially leukemia. Currently, the disease is treated with bone marrow transplants. Today, AIRFA Onlus is the only charity in Italy that supports the research for Fanconi Anemia.
