The Prize

To celebrate the birth of the new Burgman 400 Suzuki Italia has decided to combine two wheels and illustration in a new project made of technical competence, Japanese culture, Italian taste and current events.

The inspiration comes from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In the imagination of the Hamamatsu House, the “Burgman 400 is the elegant Athlete and Suzuki Italy wants to emphasize the values ​​of the athlete, creating an exhibition of works created exclusively by four Italian artists who have shown great affinity with Japanese culture: Gianluca Folì, Riccardo Guasco, Francesco Poroli e i gemelli Van Orton.

The illustrators have interpreted four fundamental characteristics of the new Burgman 400 (elegance, sportiness, stability and safety) by combining them with as many Olympic sports (diving, athletics, artistic gymnastics and fencing) to represent in 4 unique works, voted on Facebook.

It was Van Orton's fencer that appealed most to the social media audience, becoming a livery of the iconic Suzuki scooter.

The proceeds from the auction will go to support the Matalon Foundation, which shares with the Japanese brand a special bond with the East thanks to numerous exhibition projects from Japan, Korea and China.

The finalized version of the special graphics differs from the graphics displayed in the rendering.

The auction winner will also receive the first ever signed and numbered Van Orton work.

The vehicle is not registered, all registration costs will be paid by the auction winner, if they intend to register it. Any applicable duties and taxes and vehicle pickup are the responsibility of the auction winner.

The vehicle will be exhibited at EICMA 2021, from 25 to 28 November. On Saturday November 27, after payment of the auction has been completed, the keys of the scooter will be officially given to the auction winner as part of an event dedicated to the initiative.
