Take home this exclusive sculpture "Gravity" by Lorenzo Quinn in bronze and aluminium with a black marble base.
This sculpture is number 2 of a limited edition of 99 "Art Line" pieces produced by artist Lorenzo Quinn. This collection presents scale reproductions of larger sculptures that have been displayed in many European cities. "Gravity" is on display in its monumental lifesize version in many prestigious private art galleries and has been exhibited in London, Miami and Shangai.
Born on 7 May 1966 in Rome to the Mexican-American actor Anthony Quinn, Lorenzo Quinn had a childhood split between Italy and the USA. He studied at the American Academy of Fine Arts in New York to become a Surrealist painter. In 2017 his monumental installation "Support" for the Venice Biennale went viral on social networks worldwide. The work represented the threat climate change poses to our cultural heritage and saw a Renaissance building on the Canal Grande being held up by two giant hands that came out of the water.
Every creation conveys a message, poetry or text that is an integral part of the work. "Gravity" also carries a message as follows: “ It is essential to find a balance in life. Many times that balance is achieved with the help of the people who surround us and that hold us firmly to the ground and without whom we would float into perdition...”
