The expert skills of craftsmanship, and the Made in Umbria souls of Stefano Conticelli give birth to the custom handwork, unique and sustainable, for the new Fiat 500, cabrio version “I Defend.” A comeback to nature echoes in its raw materials and the overall project: the vegetally crafted leather by Foglizzo 1912 and the natural finishing by Bottega Conticelli, executed with the rithms of sun and wind, for the sweetest details. The mask, number plate and even a PicNic basket, a must by Bottega Conticelli for the lovely little things. A perfect set for a green getaway, it comes altogether with its blanket. The leather used on the new 500 by Conticelli is a Foglizzo pure aniline. This natural leather is reach of natural variations that will confer unique details and patina that will arise with time and use while deepen the character. Established in 1921, Foglizzo is synonymous with quality and elegance combining both creativity and innovation with their extensive leather collections. Stefano Conticelli lives and works in Castel Giorgio near Orvieto, surrounded deep in the fertile and rich nature of his beloved Umbria land. Since he was a young boy he was fascinated by his uncle’s precise work, a skilful craftsmen master who could create precious one-off pieces, admired and sought by the most important collectors at the time. Stefano, in his youth, could so much absorb that magic atmosphere that he quickly developed a personal talent, as well as an extraordinary manual ability. Very soon he learns all the secrets of the natural materials such as leather, wood, wool fibre, jute, iron. He is fascinated by them and, naturally endowed with great talent, he loves to mould them and give life to original uncommon creations, able to capture the interest of contemporaty beauty’s connoisseurs. His creations are strictly handmade in limited edition. They are admired and sought after by the most famous entrepreneurs, representing in the world the excellence of made in Italy product. Besides taking care of Bottega Conticelli production’s style, Stefano recently started up with an experimental more private path, by creating exclusive pieces, in order to give voice to his inner and deeper thoughts and emotions. Due to his passion for horses he often goes out in solitary galloping across the moor. This is where he loves to dealy, observing the seasons’ chromatique palette, seeking arcaic sounds, getting inebriated by those pervasived strong and unique perfumes hidden in the maquis and suddenly released. This is when Conticelli is able to regain his own inner very personal world, made of the bare essential, swinging between poetry and emotions. This is where he draws creative energy out of, to transfer it, by his hands into magic sophisticated works having great strength and contemporary features.
