Saido Berahino is a striker for Premier football league club West Bromwich Albion who also represents England at International level, winning England U21 player of the year in 2014. Born in Burundi, he came to the UK at the age of 10, fleeting the Burundi Civil war and settled in Birmingham.

His love of football began in his home country, where he played football with a ball of plastic bags tied up with laces, and continued in the UK as he learned to speak English.  He was signed up to West Bromwich Albion Centre of Excellence at age 10 and his career has never looked back. He is passionate about alleviating global poverty, and he hopes that his support of WaterAid will help them to reach more people with clean water and sanitation.
