Genitori Insieme Onlus

We win! The slogan of Genitori Insieme Onlus ("Parents Together") sums up the spirit of the association that is committed to assisting child patients in the hemopathy and oncohematology departments at the Pausilipon hospital in Naples.
In 1990 a group of parents had the idea to join forces in order to improve the care and hospitalization for children affected by neoplasms. As a result, the Carmine Gallo association was set up, becoming a non-profit organization in 2004 and later being renamed “Parents Together”.

The objectives of "Parents Together" Onlus are to support training of doctors and nurses, to ensure a greater presence of hospital staff, to buy equipment to improve the stays of children on the ward - giving the sense of a warm, welcoming, cheerful environment -,  to support families through periods of therapy and to stimulate clinical-scientific research.

The association is involved in numerous projects including:

La Casa di Alice: a family home that offers hospitality to children and their families during periods of clinical treatment. The property, owned by the municipality of Naples, is a building previously confiscated from an organized crime group.

The Summer Village project: created to respond to the emotional and relational difficulties that young patients with onco-haematological diseases experience when hospitalized during the summer period. This project offers hospitalized children and their parents spaces and times for play, fun, sharing and positive relationships, through workshops and events led by psychologists and external experts.
