Fondazione Piemontese per la Ricerca sul Cancro ETS
The Fondazione Piemontese per la Ricerca sul Cancro ETS was established over 39 years ago with a single goal: to create, in Piedmont, an outstanding oncology center where research and treatment coexist, providing patients with the best therapies in the shortest possible time. At the heart of this mission lies a unique model: placing the person first.
The Institute of Candiolo - IRCCS is the only cancer research and treatment center in Italy built entirely through the support of private donors who, thanks to their generosity, have made it an internationally recognized institution accessible to everyone. It is the first Scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Healthcare (IRCCS) in Piedmont and has earned the prestigious designation of Comprehensive Cancer Centre from the OECI (Organisation of European Cancer Institutes). The Institute began its activities in 1996 and has been growing ever since: today it spans over 60,000 square meters and employs around 800 people, including Italian and international doctors, researchers, nurses, administrative staff, and technicians.
Candiolo never stops. Thanks to its supporters, the Foundation continues to invest every day in advancing scientific and clinical excellence, ensuring the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, and improving patients’ quality of life and psychological well-being. With the belief that only by combining research, innovation, and humanity is it possible to build a better future for all.
