Fondazione Humanitas e Humanitas San Pio X

Fondazione Humanitas has been dedicated to the patient's and his/her family's quality of life during hospital stays since 1999 with volunteers working at the Humanitas Clinical Institute of Rozzano and Humanitas San Pio X in Milan, Humanitas Gavazzeni in Bergamo and Humanitas Mater Domini in Castellanza.

Humanitas San Pio X is also by the side of mothers and babies at the Birth Point and is fundraising for the purchase of a new incubator. The Birth Point, which assisted over 1000 births in 2018, guarantees privacy, quality and clinical safety, offering examinations and advanced diagnostics, a 24-hour obstetric triage for emergencies, the possibility of hospitalization for gestational pathologies from the 34th week and epidurals 24 hours a day.

The Birth Point team fosters skin-to-skin contact and early breast attachment, and offers psychological support and innovative services such as the Baby Move clinic for babies at neurological risk and the Baby Green clinic for nutritional advice for vegan and vegetarian mothers. Term and preterm infants (starting from the 34th week of gestational age), low birth weight babies or those suffering from cardio-respiratory, surgical, infectious or malformative pathologies, who need rigorous clinical and instrumental monitoring or non-invasive respiratory support are welcomed and assisted. The Drager BabyLeo cradle will make it possible to guarantee maximum safety and quality of care for these newborns, favoring a strong family bond from the first hours of life.
