Fondazione Cortina 2021

Fondazione Cortina 2021, the organisation led by Alessandro Benetton and directed by the CEO Valerio Giacobbi, is the organising committee of the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski
Championships.

The 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships will be held in Cortina d’Ampezzo from 7 th to 21 st February 2021: two weeks of men’s and women’s competitions and events which will draw over 600 athletes from 70 countries to Cortina. About 6,000 people among workers, volunteers, trainers, ski technicians and managers will also join the event.

More than 120,000 fans are expected to come and show their support during the 14 days of the event and at least 500 million people from all over the world will watch the competitions with live TV coverage, without forgetting the digital community that will follow and interact with the events thanks to the new Media.

Starting with the organisation of the Women’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup in Cortina in 2017, Fondazione Cortina 2021 has been organising 28 international ski competitions among World Cup races and the upcoming World Championships.

Fondazione Cortina 2021 has decided to support the efforts of the Belluno Hospital by raising funds to support its fight against the COVID-19.
