City Angels Italia Onlus
City Angels was formed in Milan in 1994, founded by Mario Furlan, to operate in the most problematic area of Milan: the Stazione Centrale area.
The mission is to assist victims of violence and people in critical situations. The first centers are in the Chiesa del Carmine, where meeting are held, and Fratel Ettore, a building near the station where homeless are hosted.
After many difficulties, on February 8, 1995 City Angels was officially recognized, and in 1999 the charity won the most important prize for Milanese institutions: the Ambrogino d'Oro. Within the year, City Angels was able to open new headquarters in many cities, like Rome, Turin, Varese, Parma and Brescia. Currently, it is present in those cities with 17 centers, all united by the humanitarian cause.
