For the past thirty years, A.G.E.O.P. ONLUS RESEARCH has been welcoming and helping young oncological patients and their families.
It is for this reason that A.G.E.O.P has begun work on renovating the 4th floor and building the 5th floor of the Pediatric Oncology Ward at the Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Clinic in Bologna.
Accoglienza (Hospitality). We run 4 free-of-charge hospitality homes, with 63 beds for our young patients and their family. This helps reduce the recovery period and guarantees the parents’ constant presence.
Genitori (Parents) Daily presence. we organize designated areas for parents and we provide free transportation, grocery shopping and cleaning.
Erogazione (distribution of Research contracts) we support scientific research merged with the Public Health System. We sponsor grants for 2 doctors and for 5 of the 8 researchers in the Pediatric Oncology Lab. We also contribute to purchasing avant-garde equipment.
Organizzazione (Organize) we organize workshops and projects such as: cultural mediation, recreational and creative courses for our young patients and volunteer training.
Psicooncologia (Psycho-oncology) A.G.E.O.P. sponsors contracts for psychologists so that they may support the families and children during this very difficult oncological experience.
