Discover all the secret places where to buy the best ingredients in the narrow streets of Rome together with Cristina. Then it’s off to the famous restaurant GLASS HOSTARIA in the heart of Trastevere. You’ll have the opportunity to cook a one of a kind meal with her and you’ll also have the opportunity to get advice from a sommelier about the wine.

After the lesson, you can try the courses at Romeo, Cristina’s second restaurant.

Born in Puglia but formally trained in America, Cristina Bowerman received 2 Forks from the Gambero Rosso and in 2010 she was the only woman that year to receive a Michelin star. For the past several years, she has been the director and teacher of professional cooking courses in various Italian and foreign schools. Cristina who was awarded at “Identità Golosa” in 2013 continues to pursue her passion for cooking by continuously studying and by investing great detail in the science of cooking.

Terms: The cooking lesson will be held on Saturday and will be agreed upon, based on Cristina’s availability, within 3 months after the auction has been closed. The lesson will be held at Glass - 58, Vicolo del Cinque - Rome. The highest bidder will be notified of any further information via mail or by phone.

In 2016 CBM Italia provided support to 61 projects in 26 countries. Globally, CBM provided support to 628 projects in 59 countries worldwide, reaching out to more than 28 million people.

In Italy we are committed to informing and raising public awareness of life conditions of people with visual disabilities through unique events such as “BLIND DATE - CONCERT IN THE DARK” aimed at enabling the audience to undergo - albeit only metaphorically - the emotions experienced by people treated by CBM oculists in the move from the darkness of blindness to the light of vision.
