Your exciting schedule:

All weekend (Fri-Sun): All day behind-the-scenes access to the Red Bull Racing Energy Station. These are money-can’t buy tickets of which the area is privately reserved for the team during the race. Looking out over the harbour, access includes full hospitality and dining in the Station’s restaurant.

Friday night: In the evening you will get up close and personal with Formula One legends at a private drinks reception at the Fairmont. Legends will include David Coulthard, Martin Brundle, Adrian Newey, Allan McNish and Damon Hill. A meet and greet can be facilitated with any or all of these legends. After this you will join a Cocktail party on the Senate Grand Prix exclusive yacht.

Saturday: Live race viewing of the qualifiers directly from the Senate Grand Prix exclusive yacht. This includes 5* hospitality, food and drink on board. In the evening you will have access to the private party at Red Bull Racing’s Energy Station followed by a private cocktail party on Senate Grand Prix’s exclusive yacht.

Sunday: On race day you will once again have full access to the 5* private race viewing suite of the Ermanno Palace looking out over the harbour and more than half of the track. Experienced caterers will serve a full day of hospitality including lunch, afternoon tea and an open bar of champagne, spirits, beer and wine.

The Cause

The driving forces behind Wings for Life are the two-time motocross world champion Heinz Kinigadner and the founder of Red Bull, Dietrich Mateschitz. In 2003, Kinigadner's son Hannes had a tragic accident which left him tetraplegic.

Moved by the dreadful injury, Kinigadner and Mateschitz invited leading scientists from across the world to come to Salzburg. It soon became clear that, contrary to common opinion, there is legitimate reason to hope that traumatic spinal cord injury can be cured. Ground-breaking discoveries made by Prof. Dr. Sam David in 1981 and by Prof. Dr. Martin Schwab in the early 1990s showed that injured nerve cells in the spinal cord are capable of regeneration after specific types of treatment.

Kinigadner and Mateschitz soon realised that research into spinal cord injury was underfunded. Paralysis is not considered a widespread condition and therefore investing millions in research to help a relatively small number of people was generally considered an unprofitable endeavour.

This realisation prompted Kinigadner and Mateschitz to set up the Wings for Life research foundation – with the goal of finding ways to cure all people affected.
