The Trio Medusa are a comedic trio made up from Gabriele Corsi, an actor who graduted in political science, Furio Corsetti, an architect and Giorgio Maria Daviddi, a biologist. They found their fame on the television show Le Iene, they worked for televesion on the show Parla Con Me (for Rai Tre) and for La Gaia Scienza (for LA7), Quelli che il Calcio (Rai 2), in addition to hosting a radio program Chiamate Roma Triuno Triuno which airs daily at 7am on Radio DeeJay.
Their story began when they were young and all three of them frequented the same beach, Marina Velca, during summer vacations. To pass time there, with the help of a trusting friend and a hole in the wall of a garage, they built a transmitter and began broadcasting late at night as Radio Medusa, utilizing the radio frequency of Radio Maria, monkeying around, making jokes, and playing theme songs from cartoons.
They are born as radio talkers, first in small local stations, then Radio Capital, then Radio Rai 2 and finally at Radio Deejay, where they have been going strong since 2001 and broadcast a daily show at 7am called"Chiamate Roma Triuno Triuno".
They have been awarded six years in a row the Oscar of TV for the show Le Iene. Among other awards they have won the Premio Massimo Troisi, the Premio per la Satira Politica di Forte dei Marmi and the Premio Braille for public involvement for depicting social themes such as disability.
They are known to be great contributors of the humanitarian organization Cesvi: "In 2003 we met Cesvi, like two lovers that were meant to be together for the rest of our lives! Cesvi does not go to Africa to distribute what it has bought here, but to produce, and build things that are destined to remain and continually work, involving and creating a local staff. If you want to plant a seed that will grow, you have to bring knowlege".
