Marco Belinelli, born March 25, 1986, is an Italian professional basketball player, currently plays as a shooting guard for the San Antonio Spurs and Italian national Team. Prior to his NBA career, played for Italy’s Lega A Virtus Bologna and Fortitudo Bologna. At the age of nineteen, in the 2005, he won the Italian League. He has also played for the Italian national team at the 2006 FIBA World Championship. In 2007 he's been selected #18 in the first round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors. On July 30, 2009, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors where he plays for a season before moving in 2010 to the New Orleans Hornets. In the summer of 2012 the Chicago Bulls announced the team has signed free agent guard Marco Belinelli. After a very good season in the Chicago Bulls, on July 11, 2013, Marco signed with the four time NBA champions San Antonio Spurs. Belinelli also won the Three-Point Shootout at the 2014 NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, beating Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards.
