7 Night Journey in Azores Islands

The Azores comprise nine different islands that combine tradition and modernity with very special cuisine and unique natural landscapes. Everyone deserves the chance to take a break from real life to delight in the work of Mother Nature at least once in their lives. The excellent hospitality is approached from a sustainable perspective that aims to develop a connection with the preserved environment around us rather than act against it.

A destination that is increasingly for all people experiencing many interests, the Azores attract lovers of sport, nature and birdwatching, not to mention golfers and hikers who enjoy long walks surrounded by the green and blue of nature. In addition, the islands also appeal to fans of art and culture, people looking for surprising hotels and lovers of Azorean food – a cuisine rich in tradition yet innovative which uses premium ingredients from certified sources. With lots still to be discovered, there is a special place for everyone in the Azores.

Sustainable tourism will always be a mission for the Azores, in an effort to show what makes the region so unique and to preserve this richness by paying homage to it.

As far as world cultural and natural heritage is concerned, the Azores have two UNESCO world heritage classified areas: the Historical Centre of Angra do Heroísmo (first in Portugal, in 1983) and the Landscape of Pico Island Vineyard Culture (2004). On 24 June 2019, UNESCO designated the Underwater Archeaological Charter of the Azores one of the top five examples of best practices for underwater cultural heritage protection.

The hotel is situated in an unbeatable cliff-top location in the village of Lagoa on the Azores’ main island of Sao Miguel, a 15-minute drive (6miles/10km) from the island’s airport and the capital of Ponte Delgada.
