When the coronavirus pandemic struck and shuttered the nation’s live music venues, many in the music industry found themselves out of work and struggling financially. Steve Ferlazzo, Avril Lavigne’s musical director and founder of Soundcheck Live, decided to find a way to help.
Working with the MusiCares Foundation, Soundcheck Live brought together 68 of the brightest stars in the music industry to record a stirring rendition of “Let It Be.” Led by Avril Lavigne, Nuno Bettencourt, Orianthi, Phil X, Gary Cherone, and Dug Pinnick, the performance brings together the music industry in its time of greatest need…and offers fans a way to help, as well.
Please watch the video and share it widely to support the singers, musicians, engineers, and other stars in the music industry who are responsible for the soundtrack that powers our lives. If you can, make a donation to help support these amazing individuals as we all move towards a time that we can come together again to hear music in person.
Thank you all very much. As always, the music industry stands united – fans and artists together to weather this storm.
Please note, everything you donate (minus a maximum 2% credit card processing fee) will go directly to the benificiaries.
