The Prize

Don't miss your chance to bid on this amazing piece of art!

An elegant wire sculptural drawing of a yellow wagtail. The bird was made from 1mm quality copper wire.

The artist says: "It is based on my original illustration which I’ve used as a template to form the lines and details of the bird. To create my sculptures I cut an arm's length of wire off the reel at a time, then bend, weave and twist each piece together. The yellow breast of the wagtail was painted with acrylic enamel and mounted on dried wood which has been treated with Jacobean dark oak dye. All my sculptures cast wonderful shadows with artificial light and changing shadows in natural light".
