The Prize

Take home this Wilson tennis ball, an official Roland Garros product.

American former tennis player Pete Sampras has signed the ball, making it unique.

Sampras won 14 Grand Slam singles titles during his career, which was an Open Era record at the time of his retirement: seven Wimbledon, two Australian Opens and a joint Open Era record five US Open titles. He won 64 singles titles in total. He first reached world No. 1 in 1993, and held that position for a total of 286 weeks (third of all time), including an Open Era record of six consecutive year-end No. 1 rankings from 1993 to 1998. A right-handed player with a single-handed backhand, his precise and powerful serve earned him the nickname "Pistol Pete".

In 2007, he was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The Cause

Bullying and cyberbullying are becoming increasing frequent and serious in Italy. Thousands of children are victims of this phenomenon with some stories ending in tragedy. Verbal abuse, physical assault, blackmail, threats and teasing are all damaging beheviors present particularly on social networks and within our school environments. At MOIGE - Movimento Italiano Genitori, we are on the frontline to tackle this socially negative issue through concrete activities involving education, prevention and support, which aim to wipe out this phenomenon, which can destroy the lives of our children. In recent years we have involved over 500,000 thousand students in our projects to reduce the risks presented by the internet. Now we want to do more and so we need your financial support. The funds raised thanks to your generosity will go to the "Mobile Center of prevention and support against bullying and cyberbullying", a mobile consultation center that will challenge the very real threat facing all our children today.
