Don't miss your chance to have the Nashville's country soul star Yola record a video performance just for you!

You will have the opportunity to choose a song from a pre-selected list and Yola will create an amazing rendition of your selection.

It will be up to the artist how they wish to record the performance,  making this a creative and bespoke offering from each artist to their  loyal fan-base.

Yolanda Quartey - aka Yola - released her acclaimed debut album in February 2019, establishing herself as the queen of country soul from the very first note. The album won supporters from The New York Times to Vogue and accolades including Rolling Stone’s Artist You Need To Know and NPR Music’s Artist To Watch in 2019, who said Yola is "an artist sure to stun audiences for years to come."

Yola joins Annie Lennox by standing in solidarity with The Circle's fundraising appeal to support some of the world’s most vulnerable women and girls. The Circle has long been there for the world’s most vulnerable women and will continue to do so at a time of even greater urgency.

Please note: The video will be sent to the winner before November 30th, 2020. The performance will be made available to the winner subject to the following conditions:

The recording of the performance and all copies of it will remain the property of the Artist at all times.
The winner will be granted a non-exclusive licence to use the recording for the winner’s own personal, private, non-commercial use.
The winner shall not be entitled to use the recording for advertising or promotional purposes.
The winner shall not post the recording on social media.
The licence granted to the winner may be terminated by the Artist if the winner fails to comply with these conditions.

The Cause

Together with The Circle of Women, this International Women’s Day we are asking you to show your solidarity with the one in three women who face gender-based violence around the world.
 
The challenges women face right now are immense. Since 1911, International Women’s Day has celebrated the achievements and strength of women worldwide, yet 2023 has seen a significant rollback of rights for women across the world from Afghanistan to South Africa, Iran to the UK.

1 in 3 women around the world continue to face violence in their lifetime. Despite this horrific statistic only a tiny fraction of global funding – less than 2% - goes towards improving women’s rights and less than 1% of global aid spending targets gender-based violence.  There is SO much more to be done to bring safety and equality to our sisters, mothers and daughters everywhere. 

The Circle has made an immense difference over the years, supporting over 1.4 million people on women’s rights, but we are at a crossroads moment for women around the world. The stronger the movement is the more positive change we will see. Which is why we are asking you this International Women’s Day to #MakeAStandfor1in3 and donate to us and our grassroots partners to continue our fight in ending all violence against women.
