The Prize

Enjoy a 2-night stay for two with breakfast included at the Mölgg Dolomite Residence belonging to the Italy skiier siblings Manuela and Manfred Mölgg in Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy.

Born in Brunico on August 28, 1983, Manuela Mölgg competed in three editions of the Winter Olympic Games (Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010 and PyeongChang 2018) and 8 editions of the world championships (from 2013 to 2017). She competed for a total of 18 seasons, achieving a total of 14 podium places (6 second and 8 third) in addition to third place in the final classification in the giant slalom category in the 2007/2008 season.

Born in Brunico on June 3, 1982 and brother of Manuela, Manfred Mölgg won a silver slalom and two bronzes (slalom and giant slalom) in various editions of the world championships. He is the holder of a special slalom cup (2007/2008 season). Over the course of his career he also won 20 podium places in the World Cup with 3 wins, 7 second and 10 third places.

The Cause

“WE RUN TOGETHER – Supporting our team” is a sports initiative supporting two hospitals that have been at the heart of the fight against Covid-19, the Papa Giovanni XXIII in Bergamo and the Fondazione Poliambulanza in Brescia. The funds raised from the auctions will go to the medical and nursing staff of these two hospitals that have tirelessly looked after Coronavirus patients in recent months.

This campaign has received the extraordinary support and blessing of Pope Francis who is actively involved in the initiative by donating some of his own personal highly valuable and prestigious sports items. Besides the Pope, many internationally renowned athletes, companies and sports clubs have joined the cause because we’re stronger together.

WE RUN TOGETHER is promoted and organized by four organizations that have always been committed to promoting the value of sport as a tool for inclusion, sharing, dialogue and peace. These organizations are:

Atheltica Vaticana, the first sports club in Vatican City
Sports group Fiamme Gialle (Guardia di Finanza)
“Cortile dei Gentili”, department of the Pontifical Council for Culture (VA) to promote dialogue between believers and non-believers
FIDAL-Lazio, Lazio region Athletic Federation.
