The Prize

This auction is for Uwe Hünemeier’s match issued home shirt from Brighton & Hove Albion’s home game with Norwich City on October 29 2016. The shirt has been signed by Hünemeier.

The match finished 5-0 to the Albion and continued Brighton’s strong start to the season as they chase promotion to the Premier League.

Money raised by this auction will help fund Albion in the Community’s award-winning disability football programme and help people in Sussex who are living with a disability to play regular football.

Hünemeier began his career at Borussia Dortmund before establishing himself at Paderborn and then moving to England.

Please note: each Brighton & Hove Albion player in the matchday squad for the match with Norwich City was issued with two shirts for use during that game. This auction is for one of those two shirts. We therefore cannot guarantee that this particular shirt was worn during the match, hence the description as “match issued” rather than “match worn”.

Conditions: Any auction items not paid for by the 19th December may only be shipped after 3rd January. Albion in the Community (AITC) is the official charity of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club.

It uses the power of football and the reach of the club to engage and inspire local people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

In the last 12 months alone the charity has engaged with more than 40,000 people and worked with 148 local schools. AITC is also the largest provider of inclusive football sessions for people with disabilities in the area.
