Gianni Bertini (Pisa, August 31, 1922 – Caen, July 8, 2010) was an Italian artist working in painting, graphics and visual poetry.

Graduating in maths from the Scuola Normale in Pisa, he was a talented interpreter of the informal painting of the 1950s and 1960s in Paris were he spent many years throughout his life. The very same painting that he would go on to personalise with his characteristic "Bertini" touch: the mechanisation of the painting action which in many ways predicted his adherence to Mechanical Art, Mec Art.

From the mid-1980s, Bertini's pieces returned to the ironic, dynamic inspiration of his early years, based on a contamination between painting and graphic and photographic reproduction. In 1958 he took part in the XXIX Venice Biennial and had his own personal exhibition in the XXXIV edition in 1964. He participated in the IX, X and XI edictions of the Rome Quadriennial (1965, 1972, 1986).
