Two pairs of sneakers made by Toodog.

Available sizes range from women's 7 to men's 12. Sneakers produced in Italy in 2017 with handmade elements in fabric, natural rubber and metal.

In a world of conformity, a true luxury is to have objects that are unique pieces, handmade and not easily found through conventional channels. These are the characteristics of a brand born in 2003 as a creative experiment by Gianluca Piroli (already the designer of brands like Replay, Mason’s, Breach, Gcw, Cotton Belt and many more) sold directly to the end-user.

Toodog is a brand born to be free, ideal for people who cannot see themselves in the canons imposed by the fashion system, people who do not want to be bridled by the rules, and prefer something personal, as opposed to something everyone can have. Gianluca Piroli has been defined as one of the “fathers” of vintage, his influence was already visible in 1990 in the Replay Country Store in Milan's top shopping district.

These products (design, accessories, clothing) are usually quite simple, but with exclusive treatments that give each piece a lived, worn air.

The Cause

Mani Tese is an Italian development NGO operating at the national and international levels to further justice, solidarity, promotion of human rights and respect among people. Since its foundation in 1964, Mani Tese has pursued this aim by raising public awareness of the causes of poverty in the South, lobbying policy makers and institutions and implementing development projects which, beside responding to the needs of the poor, may initiate a process of self-determination and self-reliance.

Up to now, Mani Tese has implemented—together with local partners—more than 2,300 development projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America in the areas of education, agriculture, infrastructures, support to cooperatives, human rights (particularly child rights, women rights, ethnic minority rights) governance, micro-credit, health, humanitarian aid, and integrated programs.

I EXIST—Say No to Modern Slavery is a program to make visible a modern phenomenon too often ignored. Slavery is the result of poverty, and it generates poverty. Mani Tese wants to contribute to a global mobilization, and to raise awareness of the manifestations of modern slavery through projects of international development cooperation, actions of awareness-raising, education to global citizenship, and engagement of civil society.
