On the stage of the Ariston Emma performed the song "Ogni volta è così".

Emma Marrone, also known as Emma, rose to prominence as a solo singer between 2009 and 2010, winning the ninth edition of the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi and signing a contract with the Universal Music Group record label.

She has taken part in the Sanremo Festival three times, triumphing in the 2012 edition with Non è l'inferno. In 2014 she was chosen to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song La mia città, placing 21st. Over the course of her career she has also received several awards, including a Venice Music Award, a TRL Award, 3 MTV Awards and 15 Wind Music Awards for the sales of albums, singles and live events, being awarded gold, platinum and multi-platinum records. She has also received various nominations for the MTV Europe Music Awards and the World Music Awards.

In November 2015 the singer sold over one million copies in Italy including albums and singles.

She took part in the Sanremo 2022 Festival with the song "Ogni volta è così", finishing sixth.
