The superbike teams have joined forces to offer their support to the EMERGENCY hospital in Sierra Leone to mark the organization's 25th anniversary.

The Dutch Team Pata Yamaha motorbike racer has chosen to lend his support to EMERGENCY and the patients at the Goderch Surgical and Paediatric Centre in Sierra Leone by donating one of the knee sliders he wore for the World Superbike Championship 2019 held in Portimao, Portugal. Van Der Mark competed on a Yamaha YZF R1, placing fourth. 

Last season Michael Van Der Mark placed third in the riders classification, retaining his position in the Superbike class.
