In 2005, Gerrard had a standout year for Liverpool, helping the team win the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup. In the FA Cup, Gerrard scored the winning goal in the final against West Ham United to give Liverpool a 3-3 win in extra time, with the match ultimately being decided on penalties.
