Castello di Velona Resort, Thermal Spa & Winery is an historical property, a renovated fortress dating back from the XIth century, located on a hill overlooking the entire Val d'Orcia.

Located 8 km from Montalcino, the castle overlooks the peaceful Val d’Orcia, a landscape of olive trees and vineyards, which produce the world famous wine Brunello di Montalcino. From the Castello di Velona, you will be able to visit the famous towns of Siena, Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico d’Orcia, Bagno Vignoni as well as the extraordinarily beautiful Abbeys of Sant’Antimo and Monte Oliveto Maggiore.

The OLISPA is a true oasis of wellness and relaxation where one can fully regenerate body, mind and spirit. Distributed over an area of 1500 sq. the OLISPA comprises five elegant treatment rooms with view of the Val d’Orcia, a special cabin dedicated to couple treatments and a Wet Area with two Turkish baths, a panoramic sauna, ice fountain and the emotional showers that stimulate all senses through aromatherapy and chromotherapy.

Enjoy rooms overlooking a UNESCO heritage site. All rooms have breath-taking views over the Val d'Orcia and the Brunello di Montalcino vineyards.

This two-night stay is valid for two people and includes breakfast.

The experience must be redeemed by August 31, 2020 on dates to be mutually agreed between the auction winner and the resort according to availability.

The Cause

NEVER GIVE UP is a nonprofit organization committed to the research and treatment of Eating Disorders (ED).

It was founded in 2014 with the intention of developing innovative online and offline platforms to support teens - the population age range that is most affected by such disorders and that faces a number of difficulties asking for help from professionals. As well as this, their family members, friends and teachers also need support from professionals. What is most worrying is the fact that anorexia and bulimia are the leading causes of death from disease in adolescents aged 12 to 25 in Italy.

In Italy, 3,665,000 people are affected by ED, but it is believed that only 10% of those suffering from the above-mentioned disorders seek treatment services due to the lack of recognition or underestimation of symptoms, inability to ask for help, and fear of being judged.

NEVER GIVE UP was developed to break down this wall, inform, support and protect people, often youngsters, from online sites where chats and interactions unfortunately often conceal incitement attempts of anorexia and bulimia, thus exacerbating the disorder itself. Instead, NEVER GIVE UP has developed a site for positive sharing.
