Take home this Sparco racing suit worn by the McLaren-Honda driver Fernando Alonso during the 2015 Russia Grand Prix, the 15th leg of the 2015 Formula 1 World Championship at the Autodrome in Sochi, Russia.

For Fernando, who finished the race eleventh, placing just after the top ten point-earning positions, it was a particularly special Grand Prix: he celebrated his 250th GP at the F1 World Championship level. This special anniversary makes this race suit even more unique and Alonso's autograph on the front makes it even more exclusive.

The racing suit is personalized with his name "Alonso" and the Spanish flag, and is numbered. It has only been used by him: the base of the zipper bears his initials "FA" as well as the suit number and year of manufacture.

A label sewn on the inside of the suit collar certifies that it respects all the standards set by the FIA, the F1 organizer. Additionally, the FIA symbol and code are sewn into the back.

Alonso is widely considered one of the top talents in the history of car racing, as his career results demonstrate: 2-time F1 World Champion (2005 and 2006), 32 victories, 97 podiums, 22 pole positions and 23 fastest laps.

The Cause

Croce Viola is a volunteer ambulance association based in Milan, Italy and founded in 1949.

It provides much-needed emergency services to the entire city but is entirely reliant on the goodwill of 120 volunteers, who give up their time to provide this vital service, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

In total, more than 30,000 hours of emergency assistance have been volunteered per year, saving lives as well as supplying essential patient transportation services and non-emergency medical on-call service.

Croce Viola also delivers comprehensive first aid training programs to both the public and to companies, giving people the knowledge to intervene in crucial situations where it matters most—such as the Heimlich maneuver when a person's airways are obstructed. Not only that, but Croce Viola is also committed to helping at local and community events to provide first aid and safety procedures.

The association has recently put together an innovative campaign to promote the importance of first aid among primary school children. This plan will be extended to older children in the future, teaching them the essentials of first aid, from the very basics all the way to cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.

All these important projects, as well each one of the association’s ambulances, are funded entirely by charitable donations.
