Add this amazing 'Shot Sage Blue Marilyn' piece to your collection today!

Andy Warhol created “Shot Sage Blue Marilyn” in 1964, 2 years after Marilyn’s Monroe’s sudden death. He used a promotional photo from the actor’s 1953 film Niagara and gave the actress a pink face, blue eyeshadow and red lips against a sage background.

The large format (10” by 8”) negative was recently discovered in an old filing cabinet belonging to the famous Movie Star News Archive, perfectly preserved and hidden from view for over half a century. These two 20 x 16 fine art prints were made from the negative with only 6 limited edition made in this size and are auctioned together here as a set on CharityStars.

Features:

  • Fine Art Print on Barista Paper
  • Limited Edition of 6 including both the original photo and the cropped photo done by Warhol
  • Photographer: Eugene Kornman
  • Size: 20 x 16 inches
  • Certificate of Authenticity included
