The Prize

This piece measures approximately 25" x 30" in size and is signed by renowned street artist, Shepard Fairey.

Shepard Fairey first became known for his "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" (…OBEY…) sticker campaign which appropriated images from the comedic supermarket tabloid Weekly World News.

He became widely known during the 2008 U.S. presidential election for his Barack Obama "Hope" poster. The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston calls him one of today's best known and most influential street artists. His work is included in the collections at The Smithsonian, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

The piece includes an official Pristine Authentic tamper proof hologram (located on the back of the piece) and matching COA for authenticity purposes.

The Cause

The mission of Bridge The Gaps (BTG) is to assist underprivileged, lower-income, minority, and at-risk athletic students by reconnecting their cultural, emotional, mental, and educational gaps.

Our Vision is to utilize sports to teach student athletes to be successful at home, in the classroom, in the community, and in life after sports.

BTG believes all students should have access to the resources they need for mental, social, and physical wellness needed to live healthy lives.

Part of Bridge The Gaps objectives include providing athletic students with opportunities they may not have access to due to financial limitations. This includes mentoring, tutoring, and physical training to help them achieve better grades, reach their academic goals, and remain competitive in today’s athletic market.
