About Edvard Munch

The paintings in Munch's series on love and death are the centerpiece of his accomplishment. Six images displayed in 1893 served as the series' initial foundation, and by the time it was initially displayed in 1902 at the Berlin Secession under the title Frieze of Life, the collection had expanded to 22 pieces.
