Ballarò is a series of photographs resulting from the encounter between Antonio Marras and Francesco Bellina in Palermo and it is a work that came about with a improvised set but it is also alive and vey much authentic. Marras took on this creative project with enthusiasm, involving people and things in the spaces of Ballarò: the bartering market, the car wash and the Arci Porco Rosso club, used for backstage and fitting.

Outfits, along with the gestures of dressing and 'posing', become a chance for a foray into the daily life of the Palermo, a snapshop of the neighborhood from day to night, with its stereotypes and prejudices, its fig trees and rubble, its ape cars and scooters.
