The Prize

"PETZ#19" by JUNK.

Size: 28 x 23 x 13 cm

Digital Certificate of Authenticity included.

Junk is an Italian artist who has needed art since he was a boy. "I spent hours in the cellar looking for forgotten objects to bring back to life. I liked playing on the conceptual definition that people give things in their everyday use." The urge became stronger and stronger, he moved to television and the abstract objects from his "we need colors" collection soon arrived throughout Europe and the United States.

His new artistic project is called #Spinecolorate, his identifying technique, which he has also deposited with SIAE as brand new. The artist covers pictures, sculptures and objects with multicolored spikes, reflecting the function of thorns in nature. "In very dry habitats, plants turn their leaves into thorns to save water and as protection. I want to remind people it is vital we look after our planet rather than attack it".

In the PETZ Collection animals are also covered in spikes, refusing human touch as humankind no longer respects nature.
