The Prize

At the Modena Skipass Fair, these official bibs for the Alpine World Junior Championship Val di Fassa 2019 were autographed by the Italian winter sports athletes: Sofia Goggia, Peter Fill, Christoph Innerhofer and Manuela Moelgg as well as Kristian Ghedina!

The champions have added their signatures and are auctioning off these bibs for the Junior Alpine Ski World Championship Val di Fassa 2019 in support of the work carried out by the Neuro-Oncology Unit of the Meyer Pediatric Hospital in Florence that aims to develop innovative therapeutic methods for some particularly aggressive types of brain tumor, which are today incurable with the use of established therapies.

The auction winner will take home an autographed bib and will also receive 2 VIP passes for seats in the stands at the 2019 Val di Fassa championship, including Vip Lounge access, an official World Cup mini mascot, a Welcome Kit, an invite to dinner with the sponsors and 2 skipasses*. In addition, you will have the chance to take part in activities scheduled for that day, including a signing session and meet & greet with some of the athletes.

The experience, valid for 2 people, is also open to minors provided that the parents or legal guardian signs a release form prior to the event. The Committee is committed to providing the necessary support to participants with disabilities.

The Cause

The Meyer Pediatric Hospital Foundation was established on 14 July 2000 as an exclusive support to the communication, marketing and fundraising activities of the Meyer in Florence, a special hospital dedicated to the care and well-being of children and the promotion of health.

The Meyer IRCCS University Hospital (Institute for Hospitalization and Care of a Scientific Character) represents a health excellence and the Foundation supports it with support actions aimed at qualifying it more from a technical-scientific point of view and which help the reception activities of children and families in the hospital.

The Foundation contributed to the creation of the "New Meyer" in 2007 and is currently alongside the hospital by financing Meyer+ (the hospital's expansion project), welcoming families, scientific research, health excellence projects and the technological updating of the equipment, not least the game as a tool to support therapies and treatments.

This is the philosophy that guides us every day. Many reception projects, aimed at children and families, constitute an added value that integrates into the treatment process. All this allows young patients to play in a comfortable environment, full of colors and curiosities, to experience the multiple activities of the educational workshops in the toy library, to listen to music with their parents, to share time with the clowns in the ward and with friends on four legs of Pet-Therapy.
