This auction is for the chance to parachute with the Red Devils- the British Army's parachute display team.

The lucky winner of this auction is entitled to a one-of-a-kind day of skydiving with the very best in the world - the Red Devils, the British Army’s parachute display team, who were made famous back in the 1960s and the world class gold-standard of display jumping.

The Red Devils are part of the British Army’s parachute regiment, famous for their maroon berets which were first worn during their World War 2 campaign in North Africa. The Red Devils are regular serving paratroopers from the four battalions of the Parachute Regiment who have volunteered to serve on the display team. The chance to parachute with the red devils is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that cannot be missed by anyone who enjoys a thrill.

The Cause

The Heavy Metal Truants is a charity cycling group co-founded by Metal Hammer’s former editor-in-chief, Alexander Milas, and Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood to equally benefit three charities: Childline, Nordoff Robbins and Teenage Cancer Trust. To date, it has raised £338,000.

Now in its fifth year, the cycle ride consists of an annual, three-day, 164-mile pedal from London to the Download Festival, and it’s open to fans, bands, and industry types alike. A component of these fundraising efforts is the annual Monster Rock Auction, featuring rare memorabilia generously donated by the great and good of the rock and metal industry.
