Paolo Cesare Maldini is an Italian sports manager, former footballer in the role of defender and AC Milan technical director.

A defender of international calibre, considered one of best in the history of football, Maldini enjoyed a career that spanned 25 years and played exclusively for AC Milan shirt, with which he won 26 trophies: 7 league titles, 1 Italian Cup, 5 Italian Super Cups, 5 Champions League (with the record of 8 finals played, shared with Francisco Gento), 5 European Super Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups and 1 FIFA Club World Cup. He retired from competition at the end of the 2008-2009 season.
