"La dolce torre" artwork by Federico Asta, pastry chef to the stars.

This work comes from an idea of union, integration and culture that combine: Italian sweets and French fashion interpreted in one architectural structure. The Eiffel Tower, the symbol of France, which instead of iron and metal is made of a crunchy sheet of pasta and ricotta; while the protective barriers are replaced by Louis Vuitton monogram belts.

A young professional pastry chef with a pastry shop in Bologna who - aged just 30 - has already made cakes for Pope Francis, Martin Scorsese, the Italian National Football Team and scores of famous personalities from the national and international football scene as well as singers from the Sanremo festival and movie stars.

Asta has won 31 national awards, being named best pastry chef of the year three times running. His impressive creativity has produced unique cakes and led him to study many European countries including Paris, Ibiza, Monte Carlo, Tenerife, Prague and Milan.

His desire to learn has taken him around the world and his extravagant ideas have been displayed in the most famous art galleries in Bologna. He has collaborated with leading magazines in the pastry sector and also made cakes for three of the biggest Italian fashion houses.
