“Oltre il margine” by Italo Chiodi, 2016.

Born in 1961 in Villa d’Ogna (near Bergamo), Italo Chiodi lives and works in Bergamo. In 1987 he graduated from the "Carrara" Academy of Fine Arts in Bergamo. In 1992 he graduated from the "Brera" Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.

After several moves around various Italian Academies, since 2000 he has been teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan where he has held "Drawing" and "Didactics of Artistic Languages" courses since 2003 at the Department of Communication and Didactics of Art.

Since 2011, after gaining a European Doctorate from the Department of Drawing at the "Alfonso Cano" University of Fine Arts in Granada, he has held a course at the same University as a part of the Master in the Department of Drawing.

Since 1986 he has been exhibiting in various collective and personal exhibitions in various Italian and foreign cities.

This lot is part of the #MolaMia artists initiative in support of Bergamo Hospital involving over 20 contemporary Italian artists who have joined forces for a fundraising campaign to fight the coronavirus emergency that has seriously affected the city and the province of Bergamo.
