Nobuyoshi Araki

Signed Polaroid

With certificate of authenticity

Take home this beautiful polaroid.

A true collector's item by the great artist Nobuyoshi Araki!

Nobuyoshi Araki is famous for his provocative and erotic photographs and prolific career with over 500 books devoted to his work. In all of his shots, Araki has captured flowers, food, figures, and bodies with a distinct sensuality that reaches its climax in close-ups of female genitalia, images of women in traditional Japanese bondage with ropes, and photographs of Tokyo sex clubs. His style is deliberately casual and he worked in both color and black and white. Araki's famous first series "Sentimental Voyage", from 1971, describes the intimate and mundane moments of his honeymoon. Although he has been arrested multiple times in Japan for breaking obscenity laws, his work has been widely celebrated: Araki has been the subject of exhibitions at the Tate Modern, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Albertina Museum in Vienna, among other institutions. His work regularly sells for six figures on the secondary market.
