The Prize

Take home this elegant necklace with a pendant in hand-made porcelain paper clay and polished gold. The chain is in gilded silver. The dimensions of this 2017 pendant are approximately 8x8 cm, and the chain is 70cm long.

Architect and designer, Silvia worked as a private home architect for numerous years. It was her love for small-scale design that brought her closer to the designing of objects. She has participated in and won a few contests, and designed furnishings, household products and faucets for various companies like Poltronova, Dem, Effepi. In the process, she has worked with a variety of materials and products. Her desire to express herself, return to a more artistic dimension, and control the entire project process led her to open a laboratory where she has been experimenting with the porcelain production. The choice of this material came naturally because it allows her to work directly, manually on the material. The choice of jewellery stems from her love for harmony and beauty, which has always been at the base of her design work.

The Cause

White Mathilda’s main objective is to help women who have been victims of abuse learn to recognize their resources and gain back their self-worth and personal integrity.

Our organization has always been on the front line in fighting feminicide, not only by promoting prevention, but in the synergies we have created over the years with law enforcement authorities and public services.

In the words of our founder, "the people who come to our help desk are lost, fearful, terrorized individuals; in their eyes we can read their feelings of fear, isolation, desperation, embarrassment, and resignation. Erasing these harsh feelings from their eyes and souls, as well as alleviating their suffering: these are the things that motivate me to help these people. I am increasingly convinced that those who have been 'on the front lines' of life know all too well the meaning of the words 'fear' and 'desperation' and can thus better understand and support the needy who come to ask for help."
