The Prize

On February 20, 2016 during the Marian prayer of the Angelus on the Sunday of the Transfiguration, the Holy Father Francis gave a Misericordina to all those present in St. Peter's Square. This is a small box containing the Image of Merciful Jesus with the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Holy Rosary to use while reciting the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Here is what the Pope said during the Marian prayer of the Angelus on February 20, 2016:

"Lent is an opportune time to travel a path of conversion that has mercy at its centre. Because of this, I’ve decided to give to those who are here in the square some “spiritual medicine” called “Misericordina”. We did this once before, but this one is better, it is “Misericordina-Plus”: a little box that has a rosary ring and a little image of the Merciful Jesus. Volunteers, including the poor, the homeless, refugees and also religious, will now distribute them. Receive this gift as a spiritual aid to spread pardon and fraternity, especially in this Year of Mercy."

The Cause

History Life Onlus was born out of a group of young volunteers’ passion for history and culture.

Our belief is that knowledge is the heritage of us all and that every one of us should know his/her own past in order to become a better version of himself/herself.

At the center of our activities are the protection, promotion and enhancement of culture and art in all of their forms and expressions. To this end, one of our main goals for 2017 is to create a fund for scholarships for deserving but economically disadvantaged students.

We believe that knowledge is a right of everyone: every citizen of the world should have the possibility to access it, independently from his/her economic situation, because only instruction makes men truly free.
